Aarron's Rod

Aarron's rod in Numbers was set aside along with a rod from each of the other tribes of Israel, 12 in all. This was done to put to rest the rebels. A rod or staff is a symbol of authority. I am impressed with the fact that Aarron's rod (or authority) brought forth life (the almond buds and fruit).

In a similar was, Jesus Christ has an authority that brings forth life. The Scriptures tell us that those who listen and heed His words shall have eternal life. Compare the authority of Christ with that of anyone else, whose authority brings forth life and whose brings forth death?

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him." John 3:36

How Long Have You Been With Me?

You heard the Voice before My ministry began
My works were done throughout the land
My messenger's voice was crying in the wilderness, "Prepare Ye the Way..."
Leaders came to Me by night and not by day
If you do not believe the words I say
At least believe the works that I have done
For there is coming a day where you will know that I and My Father are one
When you see Christ you see God for they are one and the same
For Christ is the Messenger in whom God has placed His name
For indeed man is flesh and the Spirit of God will not always strive with man
So repent and believe lest you be uprooted from the land
Do you still not believe? Do you still not know?
How long did I dwell among you in the flesh?
Why will you not come to Me to be set free from sin and death?

Build on...Stand on

Upon what do you build?
Upon what do you stand?
Are you trusting in the words of man?
Do you not know that his words are like sinking sand?

Build on Christ the chief cornerstone
For no other foundation should there be for those that are His own
Nothing else does the child of God need
But to abide in the Word that God breathed

Stand firm on His Word for it will not pass away
It will keep you until He returns on that day
For His Word is profitable and complete
And able to teach you to stand on your feet
Meditate upon it day and night
And it will be to your soul like a guiding light

Cling

To what do you cling?
To what do you hold fast?
Are you holding onto things that will not last?
Styles of music and dress come and go
Just like the four seasons we all know
We trust that our work for today
Will preserve our work for tomorrow
Not realizing the rain can come down, wipe out all that we have and fill our hearts with sorrow
We look to friends and family for security
Not realizing life and death are not under our authority
As spoken of in times past,
"Look to Me and be saved..." from the wrath that is sure to come to pass
Cling to the One who has been crucified
For in this God's wrath is satisfied

The Door

"I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture." John 10:9
The Door of the Outer Court was a large curtain, made of fine linen, colored in blue, purple, red and white. A depiction of what the curtain looked like is pictured above, but we do not know for sure what it looked like. The above picture is an interpretation by an artist. But, we do know what the colors were based upon Scripture.

Blue indicates heavenly and godly. "Behold your God" Isaiah 40:9, pointing to John's Gospel, where doubting Thomas eventually says to Jesus, "My Lord and my God." John 20:28

Purple signifies kingship. "Behold your King" Zechariah 9:9, points to Matthew's Gospel, where Jesus , the descendant of King David (Matthew 1:1), declares after rising from the dead, "All authority in heaven and on earth is given to Me." Matthew 28:18

Red signifies blood. "Behold My Servant" Isaiah 52:13; 53:5, pointing to Mark's Gospel, where Jesus says He, "came to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45

White signifies purity and a right humanity. "Behold the Man" Zechariah 6:12, pointing to Luke's Gospel, where Pilate says of Jesus, "Behold I have found not one fault in this man." Luke 23:4,14
These four colors are woven together to become the complete Door, just as the four gospels combine to give a complete picture of Jesus. Jesus Christ is pure and righteous, kingly and godly, and is this is how He as a man can be our ransom, the Door for us to enter into God's presence in the Tabernacle.

The Door of the Outer Court is the only way in, inviting and attractive. The Door speaks of both the compassion and the Kingliness of Jesus, His nature as both God and a genuine man, Son of God and Son of Man, woven together as a beautiful tapestry.

I am the Door, I am the Door, By Me if any man enter in He shall be saved, He shall be saved, He shall be saved.
I am the Door, The words are but four, Millions are in, But there's room for more,The door's open wide, Come right inside, And Thou shalt be saved.

Undershepherds II

I raise them up from among the flock
And use them to teach others how they should walk
But they have neglected their duty of feeding the flock
And wolves clothed in sheep's apparel
Have come in and caused my sheep to quarrel
They walk among the flock without restriction
And try to lead some down the road to perdition
But I will cause them to cease being over My people
And then I will come and gather
All those who have been broken bruised and scattered
And I will be their Shepherd and they will be My sheep

Shepherd of the Sheep

O great Shepherd of the sheep
Who was pierced through His ands and feet
Blessed be Your Name in all the Earth
Jesus Christ our Righteousness
Your Word guides me like a lamp
As I travel towards You outside the camp
Bearing Your shame and reproach
I trust in You my living hope
As the world moves on at a blistering pace
You lead on at a gentle pace
Guiding us in our way toward the Father's face
